God- Our What? (George Carpenter)

God is the gardener, Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches. We bear fruit: “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5.22

The healthy branch never releases the vine because to do so would interrupt the flow of essential nutrients. So, the branch’s goal is to stay connected to the source of what helps it to thrive. How can you remain in Christ and stay connected to the vine? “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3 2

How might you do this? When you spend time driving, that’s a perfect opportunity to stay connected by listening to a Christian audio book. Fellowshipping with other believers is another way to remain in Christ. Serving with others is a means of staying connected to Christ. Make your connected time a habit.

The more we stay connected, the more familiar His voice will be, and when we recognize His voice, we will be able to recognize His will for our life.
